On prepping for Halloween
Posted on October 17 2014
I love Halloween. But I never get it together fast enough to be able to make costumes. Also, I'm not crafty. Also, I don't like spending tonnes of money on stuff that may not be exactly the most practical (although my kids are allowed to wear costumes any time of year if they want). Because of all these things, I Love the Opposite of Far masks and mask and tail sets we have in store right now.
These sweet sets are made from bio-felt, and are made by Jessica Near (get it, opposite of far?). One of my favourite parts of these pieces is the fact that the kids won't grow out of them in a year. They'll be able to play with them for a long time and we can tailor their costumes around warm clothing they already have.
If you've been following our Instagram, you'll see the outfit/costume ideas I've been playing with all week.
Our kids need clothes, right? Why not pair that new jacket with a raccoon set and create hipster Toronto raccoon? Or maybe you love our Ollie Jones dresses? Throw the Smarty Cats print on with a cat set. Follow along in the next few weeks and see what kind of whacky ideas I come up with.
I'd love to hear your ideas, too! Comment below and let me know how you'd style one of these adorable masks or sets.
Another adorable and practical costume idea! @oppositeoffar mask and tail and a Babibu bamboo romper. #Halloween #Parkdale #toddler #Toronto
